Hamilton Soccer Club Sends Two Teams to MOSA Curci Cup Finals, Continues Historic Run

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Hamilton Soccer Club (HSC) is once again making waves on the pitch, sending two exceptional teams to the prestigious Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association (MOSA) Curci Cup Finals. The appearance of the 2012 Wolfpack and the 2016 Cyclones Black not only highlights the club’s current strength but also extends a remarkable streak: this is the seventh consecutive MOSA season that HSC has sent at least one team to the MOSA finals.

This sustained success is a powerful indicator of the quality and consistency of the program offered by the Hamilton Soccer Club. According to HSC Commissioner, Kurt Bliefernich, “The hard work that the teams have put in over the summer and during the season is showing off.”

The Undefeated Force: 2012 Wolfpack

The Wolfpack’s journey to the finals has been nothing short of dominant. The team heads into the championship match undefeated in their league season with a perfect 9-0 record. Their offensive prowess and defensive solidity have been a sight to behold, tallying an astounding 38 goals for while conceding a mere 5 against.

The level of achievement this team has reached is truly impressive. “The Wolfpack have had a tremendous season,” Commissioner Bliefernich notes. “They picked up some players this season that have fit right into the system.”

This season’s success feels like a culmination of hard work, especially after proving themselves in previous campaigns. “The Wolfpack finally got their shot at the premier flight this after our other 2012 team left to join another program,” Bliefernich added. “They are showing they are a premier team.” In fact, their winning streak extends back even further: “The Wolfpack are undefeated in the 2025 Calendar year in MOSA. They finished the Spring season undefeated in the National 1 flight.” This team is clearly peaking at the perfect time.

The Thrill of Victory: 2016 Cyclones Black

The road to the finals for the 2016 Cyclones Black was a drama-filled affair that captivated local fans. They secured their spot after a thrilling shootout victory against their spirited cross-town rivals, the Hibernians.

The finals, however, promise to be an equally intense affair, as they face another local foe: the German American Club (GAK). This all-Hamilton showdown is a remarkable testament to the overall strength of the Hamilton Township Recreation Soccer Association, showcasing three top-tier teams—the Cyclones, Hibernians, and GAK—all thriving in the same local environment.

The Cyclones are currently fourth in the Premier Flight of MOSA, sitting five points behind the Hibernians and GAK. While they may have stumbled in the early stages of the season, the team has found its rhythm as the season has progressed, turning their early challenges into a galvanizing force.

“The Cyclones have steadily improved this season. They come to training ready to work,” Commissioner Bliefernich said, praising the team’s commitment. “This is a well-balanced team that can hang in with anyone in the Premier flight.” The decision to place them in the highest division has clearly paid dividends: “The Cyclones have steadily climbed the MOSA league. This year they were placed in Premier and the higher level of competition has been good for them.”

A Commitment to Excellence

The entire Hamilton Soccer Club program is built on a foundation of high-level training and player development. HSC proudly holds the designation of a Platinum level Philadelphia Union Affiliate.

This partnership is key to the club’s sustained success. “We have a wonderful training partnership with the Philadelphia Union who do a great job keeping sessions active and fresh,” Bliefernich stated. This high-caliber instruction ensures that all players are prepared for the rigors of competitive league play.

The club leadership attributes the overall strong showing across all teams to this synergy. “The entire program has been having a good Fall,” Bliefernich reflected. “I think it is a testament to our coaches getting the players ready to play and the Philadelphia Union trainers coming in with a good curriculum to have the players prepared. We are seeing regular improvement across all of our teams.”
